Shawn Lindsay, Operations Pastor

Shawn grew up in Kansas and began his college career at Hutchinson Community College on a football scholarship before sensing a call to ministry. Encouraged by two mentors, he enrolled at Ozark Christian College, where he earned both a Bachelor of Biblical Literature and a Bachelor of Theology in New Testament. After graduating, Shawn served in preaching ministries in Missouri and Illinois. During the time in Illinois, he earned a Master of Religious Education from Lincoln Christian University. He has also completed the coursework for a PhD in Educational Studies from Biola University.

Shawn’s 22-year journey in biblical higher education began while in seminary and has been marked by a deep commitment to equipping others for ministry. At Lincoln Christian University, he served in the adult degree completion program, the registrar’s office, and as an Instructor of Christian Education. He then spent 16 years at Ozark Christian College in a variety of roles, including Professor of Christian Education, Learning Center Director, and Associate Dean of Digital Learning and Innovation. Most recently, he served for three years at Central Christian College of the Bible as Vice President of Academics. 

Shawn and Jody met and married while students at Ozark and now have two married children: Brittany (Tyler) and Levi (Jordyn). They recently welcomed their first grandchild, Rowan, and are very excited to become “experts” at spoiling him. When he’s not trying to make the world run a little smoother (and more organized) withspreadsheets, Shawn enjoys spending time with family, brewing great coffee, watching football, and attempting catch more and bigger bass than Levi.
