Witnessing Approaches

April PrimeTime

Wednesday, April 5 | 7 p.m.

During the April PrimeTime, you’ll be given another opportunity attend two 25-minute classes that will help you to be better equipped to witness to others. This time there will even be a class to help kids with witnessing to their friends and classmates. Don’t miss this PrimeTime! See below for a description of the classes…

The “Chasm” Illustration
This approach to sharing the Gospel includes creating a visual that helps drive home the message. All you need is a pen and a piece of paper… or even a napkin. Obviously having a Bible handy is helpful! There are several advantages that come with this approach: helps people to visualize the message (thus remember it better), takes the focus off of yourself, and provides you with something to leave them with.

Traveling the Romans Road
A simple example of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ exclusively from the book of Romans. This method is easy to learn so you can always be prepared to share the good news of Jesus whenever the opportunity arises.

3 Circumstantial Approaches
Evangelizing approaches can vary dependent upon the situation. In this class we will discuss what to say to someone during a time of loss or tragedy, what to say to a colleague, and what to say to a person who is in a different age group than you are.

Preparing Your Personal Story
Your story is powerful! If you’ve never thought about it before, consider writing down how you came to know Jesus. How did you decide to follow Him? Peter tells us to “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for your hope.” (1 Peter 3:15) No one can argue with what you’ve experienced, so always be ready to share when someone asks! This workshop will help you to do just that.

Sharing Jesus with your friends (For Kids)
Even though you are young, you can still help others to know Jesus. Your friends and classmates at school can learn about Him through you. This class will give you some tips for doing that.

Dinner will be served beforehand at 6:30 p.m. Deadline to RSVP for dinner is April 3. Childcare will be available.
