Nursery Care

Worship and grow in Christ, knowing your child is being cared for in a safe and loving environment.

Sprouts is Crossroads’ nursery for children birth to 36 months. Sprouts is available during Crossroads’ 9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. worship services and all PrimeTime gatherings unless noted otherwise in the weekly bulletin.

Who will care for my child?
Sprouts’ staff is comprised of a wonderful team of volunteers who assist once or twice a month. For the safety of the children, all volunteers must undergo a background screening and attend a class on caring for young children.

What can I expect?
Upon entering the nursery and completing the sign-in sheet with one of our volunteers you will be issued a pager. Should your child need you during the service, a nursery staff member will page you. The pager will vibrate to alert you to come to the nursery.

If your child is not yet walking, they will be in our infant room. Volunteers will play with your child, rock them, read to them and do any instructed feedings.

In the Sprouts toddler room, which cares for children walking to 3 years, children have free play time, listen to music, color pictures and eat a small snack. Sprouts provides a snack for all children in the toddler room unless informed by parents otherwise. We ask that no outside food or drink be allowed in the toddler nursery. The nursery is a peanut free zone. Children 12-18 months receive Cheerios and water and children 18 months and older graham crackers and water.

Nursing mothers
There is a private room attached to the Sprouts toddler room for nursing moms. You are also welcome in the Living Room/Cry Room and Sprouts Infants area.
